Prayer for the General Chapter 2014
Compassionate God, we thank you for all that you have made possible in the life
and history of our Congregation through our founders and our sisters, who have
gone before us. We want to continue living our mission with creative fidelity among
people of varied cultures, languages, and mentalities. Jesus, you have come into the
world that we may have life, life to the full (cf. Jn 10:10). Let us trust in your word:
may it become reality for us and for all our sisters and brothers, especially the poor
and the marginalized.
Filled with your Spirit let us always Choose Life with renewed Heart!
Make us ready for the changes which you want to bring into our lives and let us
give up our resistances caused by any type of fear. Let the attitudes of your Heart
be ours so that your love may flow through our hearts to the people we encounter
in our lives. Let this time of preparation for our upcoming General Chapter be
a sacred time of reflective listening, sharing and discerning God's will.
May this important event be a new day of Pentecost, generating greater unity
among us. Mary, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, you have been our faithful sister
and mother since our founding days, accompany us on our journey. Amen.
